Council’s customer service at Martinborough library from 30 June

South Wairarapa District Council is temporarily moving its valued customer service team to Martinborough Library where team members will be available to the community from Monday 30 June from 8.30am to 4pm.

The move will see the same friendly faces and high level of service available to our community while the Council’s head office is undergoing urgent works to deal with long-standing health, safety and security issues which impact the continued viability of the building.

Construction work

Construction on the Council’s head office in Martinborough begins in July and is being carried out in two phases to limit disturbance to the public. Staff will work from a variety of locations, including part of the Martinborough office, the Greytown office, Greytown Library meeting rooms and home.

Council reception and hours from 30 June

  • Council reception hours remain the same as always from 8.30am to 4pm, Monday to Friday.
  • Martinborough Library hours also remain the same from 9.30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and 9.30am to 12 noon on Saturdays.
  • Elections officers will also be available at Martinborough Library from 9.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, to field questions and receive candidate nominations between 4 July and 1 August.
