Road alerts and closures
State Highway 53 Martinborough Square CLOSED for Martinborough Fair: Kitchener Street closed between Ohio Street and the Square, Saturday during the day, 4am-6.30pm (7 February).
State Highway 2, Greytown, between Hastwell Street and Humphries Street: Stop/Go traffic controls in place for Wellington Water work on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 7.30pm-5am (3 and 5 February).
State Highway 53 Bidwill’s Cutting Intersection: Stop/Go traffic controls in place for drainage work Thursday during the day, 9am-4pm (12 February).
Moroa and Pharazyns roads in South Featherston will be closed with a detour route in place for powerline maintenance work from Monday 19 January to Friday 13 March 2026. Find out more here.

Roads in and around Martinborough for the 2026 Martinborough Fair – to be held on two days: Saturday 7 February 2026 and Saturday 7 March 2026 from 4am to 6.30pm each day.
Wood Street, Greytown: Wednesday 11 February from 9am to 3pm for water leak repairs to be undertaken by Wellington Water.
No 1 Line in Featherston, from 17 February to 27 March 2026 for road maintenance. It is anticipated that this work will take 13 days to complete. This is a full road closure for the duration of the work.
East West Access Road closure, (originally scheduled Sunday 16 November 2025 – POSTPONED until April 2026). More details TBC.
