Wai Word has been bringing notable authors into the Wairarapa for over a decade to share their writing and skills with audiences. Our Wairarapa Library Service is partnering with Wai Word to make the most of some excellent events, the first being author Sue Orr with Noelle McCarthy on 25 September at the Carterton Events Centre. Here’s what’s coming:

• Author Sue Orr with radio personality Noelle McCarthy, Sunday 25 September, 3pm, in the Carterton Events Centre auditorium (and a workshop at Greytown Library which is already fully booked!).

• Charity Norman (Remember Me) Part of the Yarns in Barns series, Tuesday 18 October, 7.30pm, Carterton Community Courthouse. Seats are limited. Register on Eventfinda.

• A November event to be confirmed.

• Johanna Knox Sunday and Monday 4 and 5 December, details to be confirmed.

• Wai Word and Wairarapa Library Service are hoping to have new Poet Laureate Chris Tse visit in February next year.
