Brandon Street level crossing in Featherston is to have its upgrade work brought forward to day time hours between Monday 25 August and Friday 29 August.

The work has been brought forward because the project is ahead of schedule.

This work will see the contractor, Mills Albert, which has been engaged by KiwiRail, install a new surface and sub-surface infrastructure to allow for safety upgrades to the rail crossing.

It is intended that works will include under road crossing and two pits installed. This is intended to be the last stage of the work on Brandon Street.
