KiwiRail has engaged two contractors to install new infrastructure for safety upgrades, which will mean there are road closures from May through to August this year.
We appreciate and thank members of the community for their patience during these safety upgrades.
Mills Albert is carrying out safety upgrade work on Revans Street while JFC is carrying out safety upgrade work on Bell Street and Fox Street.
Featherston road closure dates and streets affected
May road closures
- Revans Street (SH53) two day closure on Saturday 31 May and Sunday 1 June, 6am to 6pm.
June road closures
- Bell Street closure for approximately seven to 10 days from Monday 16 June.
- Fox Street closure for approximately three months from Monday 23 June.
July & August road closures
- Revans Street closure for two days on Monday 14 July and Friday 18 July.
- Revans Street closure for two days on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 August.
The contractors will carry out a letter drop notification to affected residents at least five days before each closure.
