An open invite to learn how to find funds

If you or a community organisation in the South Wairarapa need funds to bring a project to life, the South Wairarapa Funders’ Forum is a great place to start and it has a drop in session this month in Martinborough.

The event is open to everyone in the community and there is no cost to attend but RSVPs are essential so that the organisers can make sure there’s enough seating for all. The South Wairarapa Funders Forum is at the Waihinga Centre (Martinborough Town Hall) on Thursday 22 May from 3pm to 6pm. Scroll down to see the link to reply and confirm your attendance at our free community Funders. Forum.

“This is a great opportunity to reach out to your community contacts, sports clubs and volunteer groups who are in need of funding support now or in the near future,” says Lina McManus, Funding Coordinator for South Wairarapa District Council.

This year’s Funders’ Forum is a collaboration across the three councils in the Wairarapa region – South Wairarapa, Carterton and Masterton. Each district will have its own Funders’ Forum.

“The forum puts you and your project face to face with regional advisors from some of the trusts and foundations that provide funding. They are here to answer questions, support in pitching your project and they have inhouse insights into grants. These people are a wonderful resource for community.”

If you would like to attend the South Wairarapa Funding Forum or know others who would like to, please RSVP online here
