The 2026 Rotary Martinborough Fair(s) is back again with two dates in 2026 and proposed road closures in and around Martinborough for each day.

There are two fairs coming up, both of which impact road closures on the days they are held: Saturday 7 February 2026 and Saturday 7 March 2026 from 4am to 6.30pm each day.

Roads impacted for the duration, set up and pack down of the fairs are highlighted on the map below.

Roads closed during the fairs

Texas Street closed at Strasbourge Street and Cork Street end

Cambridge Road closed at Strasbourge Street end

Kansas Street closed at Strasbourge and Ohio Street end

SH53 closed at Ohio Street end

Texas Street closed at Ohio and Naples Street end

Jellicoe Street closed at Naples Street end

Kansas Street closed at Naples and Cork Street end

Oxford Street closed at Cork Street end

Ohio Street closed between at Kitchener Street and Strasbourge Street

Restricted parking

Areas of restricted parking will be available on Princess Street, Kitchener Street and Cork Street, which will be monitored by event marshals.

During the periods of closure, ordinary vehicles can use existing alternative road(s) and street(s) into and around Martinborough.

Objections

If anyone objects to the proposals, they are asked to lodge notice of their objection and grounds for it in writing at the Council office at the Martinborough Library (Waihinga Centre) on Texas Street by 15 January 2026.
