Wellington Region Waste Management and Minimisation Plan 2024-2029

We’re working with the other seven councils in the region to develop a new Wellington Region Waste Management and Minimisation Plan (WMMP). It’s a requirement under the Waste Management Act, and will cover the period from 2024 to 2029, and beyond.

The plan sets a vision, objectives, targets, and regional and local action plans for achieving efficient and effective waste management and minimisation across the Wellington region over the next six years.
