Martinborough temporary lane closure

There will be a temporary lane closure on Huangarua Road, Puruatanga Road and Martins Road between Monday 16 June and Friday 27 June from 8.30am to 5pm for treescaping. This closure is due to urgent council tree work required for community safety.

No weekend work will take place and if adverse weather conditions arise, the alternate day will be the following day. A clear detour route will be in place.

Stages of the work

Stage one – Huangarua Road between Princess Street and Cambridge Road.

• One way only eastbound with detours in place.

Stage two – Puruatanga Road between Cambridge Road and Regent Street.

• One way only eastbound with detours in place.

Stage three – Puruatanga Road between Regent Street and Todds Road.

• One way only eastbound with detours in place.

Stage four – Martins Road between Todds Road and Hinakura Road.

• One way only eastbound with detours in place.

The lane on the power line side of the road will be closed in four sections, while the opposite lane will remain open. Access to properties will be maintained except when crews are working on trees directly in driveways.

Please follow all safety signage and instructions during the work.

Safety is paramount for our community and roads will be reopened to vehicles and pedestrians as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.
