Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs and Martinborough Business Association host free community event | Thu 26 Mar

Since 2020, the Mayor’s Taskforce for Jobs Wairarapa (MTFJ) has helped more than 600 Wairarapa youth into sustainable jobs, with dozens of local businesses expanding and strengthening their teams.

You are invited to join MTFJ and the Martinborough Business Association for a special Business after Five event celebrating local connection, collaboration, and opportunity.

Come along to hear how MTFJ Wairarapa is partnering with local employers to create pathways for rangatahi (youth aged 16-24 years), into meaningful work across Wairarapa.

You’ll meet some of the young people and employers who have benefited from this wrap‑around, fees‑free programme – a practical pathway that helps build communication, confidence, and workplace capability, with a focus on the skills employers’ value most: reliability, teamwork, initiative, and curiosity.

This FREE event is a great chance to connect with local businesses, celebrate the next generation entering the workforce, and see first-hand how MTFJ Wairarapa is supporting sustainable employment right here in our community.
