Make sure to register your dog before 31 July to avoid late fees.
Registering and microchipping your dog is a simple way for Council to identify your dog as yours, and allows us to easily reunite a dog with its owner if it goes missing.
Fees can be paid either in person at the Martinborough Council offices, at the Greytown and Featherston libraries, or online. To pay online, go to www.swdc.govt.nz/pay-for-dog-licensing
If you pay online, you will still need to return your completed form to us before we can issue your tags. Drop it in to the Council office or one of the libraries, or by scan and email it to enquiries@swdc.govt.nz or post to South Wairarapa District Council, PO Box 6, Martinborough 5741.
Dog registration fees help pay for our animal services including a 24 hour service to respond to reports of dog attacks, roaming dogs, animal welfare concerns and maintaining pound facilities and care for impounded dogs.
