Roadworks on White Rock Road on Sunday 29 June

The intersection of White Rock Road and Lake Ferry Road is to have new asphalting and road marking work done on Sunday 29 June from 7pm to 5am.

Work will take place the following day, in the event of poor weather for working conditions.

Please make sure your vehicle is parked off street during the time of the roadworks. If it gets in the way of the road works, it might have to be towed and, if the towing operator is unable to return your car to where it was found, they will be required to leave it in the nearest available park. If your car is missing, please first check nearby streets before calling the contractor.

Please ensure that children are kept away from the road work and are aware of the dangers. They must follow the directions of workers.

It is also a good idea to keep pets indoors while work is in progress.

Roadwork is a noisy, dirty business and we will be doing all we can to minimise the impact on your household and business.

Bitumen, concrete and other road repair materials require a bit of TLC after they are applied. Please treat all new surfaces with extra care for the two weeks following the completion of this project. Avoid excessive speed, sharp turns and heavy braking.

All new roadwork is routinely monitored and, in some cases, workers may need to return to the site to sweep and repaint road markings.

If this is the case, we will post another notice to let the community know.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience throughout the duration of this work.
