This is a formal application on behalf of the Event Organiser of Cruise Martinborough, Kaila Nickson (TMP Designer- from A&K Traffic Solutions) to apply for a road closure on Main Street Greytown (SH2) between 59 to 158 Main Street Greytown from 7pm to 9pm on Friday 23 January 2026.

Cruise Martinborough’s Greytown Event will see cars parading through Greytown on the above date and times with detours outlined below.

Detour route north

A detour will be in place for vehicles travelling north on Main Street/State Highway 2 (SH2) in Greytown. Vehicles travelling north from the intersection of Main Street and Wood Street will need to follow the detour by turning left onto Wood Street, following the detour sign and turning right onto West Street then following detour signs to turn right onto North Street and left onto Main Street/SH2 where the detour ends.

Detour route south

A detour in place for vehicles travelling south on Main Street, Greytown (SH2) from the intersection of Main Street and Jellicoe Street where vehicles will need to follow the detour by turning right onto East Street then following detour signs to turn right onto Papawai Road and then turn left onto Main Street/SH2 where the detour ends.

Event details

Cruise Martinborough is a hot rod, classic and muscle car show event, showcasing vehicles from the 1970s, 1960s, 1950s and prior. This event in Greytown is a vehicle parade for people to see all the vehicles from the Cruise Martinborough events. Cars will travel in Greytown and then they will park in the carpark at Greytown Workingmen’s Club to show off cars to the public.

If this event is cancelled, it will not proceed as there is no postponement date set for it.
