Cliffhanger Promotions will carry out an annual one day motorcycle sprint event on East West Access Road, which has been postponed from Sunday 16 November 2025 until April 2026 – an exact date has yet to be confirmed.

This event has been approved by South Wairarapa District Council and includes an extreme contingency plan to take place, if required. Residents will be made aware of the event by the Council five days prior to the commencement of road closure traffic management work.

More information will be provided when a new date has been confirmed for April 2026.
