Cliffhanger Promotions will carry out an annual one day motorcycle sprint event on East West Access Road on Sunday 16 November 2025, with a postponement date of 23 November 2025.

This event has been approved by South Wairarapa District Council and includes an extreme contingency plan to take place, if required. Residents will be made aware of the event by the Council five days prior to the commencement of road closure traffic management work.

During this event, traffic management will be in place with a road closure from the bridge and Te Hopi Road between the hours of 8.30am to 5pm.

Access will still be available to residents as the road will be open between runs, approximately every 40 minutes.
