Greytown Town Centre – which houses Greytown Library – is getting some TLC, with construction work starting on Monday 2 March 2026.
Greytown Library will remain open during the construction period, however there will be some disruption with noise at times from the ongoing works and very limited meeting and parking spaces available.

The Main Street building is having necessary works carried out on its foundations and subfloor ventilation.
Construction will be carried out during two stints – the first being 2-13 March and the second between 18-29 May.
During these periods:
- Parking will be significantly reduced.
- Most of the library carparking spaces will be occupied by contractor vehicles.
- Please note it may be tricky to turn around to exit. Therefore, customers are encouraged to use the nearby on-street parking.
- The mobility carpark will still be available.
- The WBS room will be unavailable for public use.
- Some of the work will be disruptive (but wherever possible this will be completed before the library opens at 9.30am).
We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding while this work is completed.
