South Wairarapa is the place to be in early February – if you’re aged five to 13 years old and bursting with energy! Our district’s new sports and recreation provider, Kia Hākinakina is organising a South Wairarapa Kids’ Triathlon to take place on Wednesday 4 February.

Registrations are open now until Tuesday 20 January 2026.

Here are the details:

• When? Wednesday 4 February, starting at 5.30pm.
• Where? Featherston Swimming Pool and Card Reserve.
• Who? Tamariki ages 5-13 years.
• It’s $10 per child.

Wairarapa Multi Sports Club helped design the event alongside Kia Hākinakina. The focus of the event is participation and completion, so no prizes for winners.

Kia Hākinakina say this will be a one-off trial event to see how it goes, with the potential of more events like this later in the 2026 year.
