This year’s Anzac Day parades are scheduled to take place in Featherston and Greytown on Saturday 25 April. Applications for road closures during the parades in both towns are outlined below.
There is no postponement day for these parades. If they do not go ahead, they will be postponed until next year.
Greytown road closure application
A&K Traffic Solutions, organiser of the Anzac Parade 2026 is formally applying for a road closure on Kuratawhiti Street Greytown Between #40 to #Intersection of Main Street (SH2) and also a road closure on Main Street (SH2) between Jellicoe Street to Hastwell Street. on Saturday 25 April 2026 from 9am to 12pm.
The parade is from Greytown Swimming Pool to Greytown Workingmen’s Club from 10.30am to 11.30am.
Kuratawhiti Street and Main Street (SH2) between Jellicoe Street and Hastwell Street) will be closed for the Anzac Day Parade from 9am to 12pm. The roads reopen at 12pm.
Detour route from Carterton
Turn left on to Jellicoe Street
Turn Right on to East Street
Turn Right on to Church Street and return back on to Main Street (SH2)
Detour route from Featherston
Turn left on to Hastwell Street
Turn Right on to West Street
Turn Right on to North Street
Return back onto Main Street (SH2)
Featherston road closure application
A&K Traffic Solutions, organiser of the Anzac Parade 2026 is formally applying for a road closure on Saturday 26 April from 8am to 11.30am.
The road will be closed at 8am and the parade starts at 8.30am with a service between 9.30am and 10.00am. The parade goes back to Anzac Hall between 10am and 11am. The road open again from 11.30am.
Birdwood Street will be closed from 8am to 11.30am.
There is no detour for this road closure.
