There will be a road closures on Waite Street, Featherston, for tree removal works. The closure is scheduled from
- 9 March to 11 March, 7:30am to 5:00pm. A detour will be in place during this time.
Description of work activity
The contractor is removing a gum tree overhanging the carriageway at this address. This work will consist of:
- Trimming tree down from the top from an EWP
- Mulching branches/debris
- Completing removal of trimmed tree from inside the property boundary
Reason for closure
- Tree overhangs both lanes of carriageway and plant on site will need to operate from both lanes to trim back
prior to falling inside property boundary. - Debris and plant during trimming stages pose significant risk to road users on carriageway.
- Workers on site need free movement from potential debris for safety reasons, without the added risk of live
traffic passing through work site
