A road closure will be in place on Wood Street in Greytown on Tuesday 27 January from 9am to 3pm for water leak repairs to be undertaken by Wellington Water.
There will be a detour in place for the duration of the work, which is likely to include some noise due to the nature of the repairs that need to be made.
If repair work cannot be carried out on the scheduled date, due to unsuitable weather or other unforeseen conditions, it will take place on the next suitable day.
We advise the community to follow all posted signage and directions from traffic controllers while the repairs are being made.
No parking signs and road cones will in place at least 24 hours prior to the start of the repair work. Vehicles need to be clear of the work for the repairs to take place. If your vehicle has been moved, please check surrounding streets before contacting Wellington Water.
Please visit Wellington Water’s Website to see specific areas and times when water will be shut down. If you are affected by the water shutdown, when the water supply is turned back on, we recommend that you turn on a cold tap slowly and let it run for a minute or so to clear any air bubbles that may have entered the system. Air bubbles can cause water to turn a milky colour but this will not affect the
taste and should clear quickly.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while this work is taking place.
