South Wairarapa Christmas Parades for 2025

Santa Claus is coming to a town near you! We are very lucky to have not one, not two, but three Christmas parades.

Thanks to the community for organising these fun, free whānau-friendly events and bringing holiday cheer to our South Wairarapa streets this festive season.

Featherston Christmas Parade

  • Saturday 6 December, 12pm-1pm
  • Starts Revans St, travels along SH2, and ends at Clifford Square.
  • This parade is organised by the community.

Greytown Santa Parade

  • Saturday 13 December, 2pm
  • The parade is on Main St (SH2) between North and Humphries streets.
  • Greytown’s annual Santa Parade is proudly presented by South Wairarapa Rotary.
  • After the parade, head to Carols at Cobblestones Museum from 3.30pm.

Martinborough Christmas Parade

  • Sunday 14 December, 4pm
  • The parade will travel along Jellicoe Street and around Martinborough Square.
  • The event is being organised by the Martinborough Business Association and Martinborough Community Board, with the support of Heartland Services, MADCAPS, South Wairarapa Rotary, Martinborough Men’s Shed, Martinborough Lions, and Martinborough Star.

Road closures

During the parades, there will be road closures in place. Vehicles will need to follow the detours for alternative routes. Below are links to the road closure notices.
