An application has been made to close Shooting Butts Road in Martinborough from Monday 14 April through to Wednesday 14 May to construct the entranceway to a new subdivision and to install new culverts under the carriageway.

The application has been made by P J Warren Earthmoving, which will undertake the work on Shooting Butts Road between RP 1.045 and RP 1.450.

The road closure has been requested due to the narrowness of the carriageway, which is not considered wide enough (at four metres) to facilitate the flow of vehicles along this section of the road for the duration of the work.

A detour route is available from Dublin Street into Jellicoe Street and then into White Road Road, as outlined on the attached map.
