Wellington Water is holding a drop in session on Thursday 15 September to inform residents about its new plan for the future treatment of Featherston’s wastewater.

Featherston’s wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) needs a new resource consent in 2023, and the Council has asked Wellington Water to develop a proposal for a new consent.

The proposal seeks to protect fresh waterways, improve environmental performance and cater for growth while being affordable for South Wairarapa’s ratepayers.
