The East West Access Road between the bridge and Te Hopi Road will be closed on Sunday 8 December 2024 for the annual Motorcycle Sprints,

Cliffhanger Promotions has been running sprint events at Dalefield Road and East West Access Road for over 20 years as well as its motorcycle Hillclimb, which is also known as The Cliffhanger.

The application is for the following closures:

• East West Access Road between the bridge and Te Hopai Road between 7am and 5pm.
• The road will be opened to normal traffic between runs, approximately every 40 minutes.

No detours are available and there are no postponement dates.
