The Greytown Community Board recently sought feedback from residents of Underhill Road in Greytown on whether there was a need to assign the road with a different name to Underhill Road in Featherston. The road is split by the Tauherenikau River.
Feedback received was presented to the board at its meeting on 11 May 2022. The information can be viewed at: https://swdc.govt.nz/meeting/greytown-community-board-11-may-2022/.
The Greytown Community Board resolved to note that as a significant majority of residents and owners along the road did not support a change that the name will remained unchanged as Underhill Road. This is in accordance with the Council’s Naming of Public Roads, Private Roads and Rights-of-Way Policy.
