Waka Kotahi NZTA have advised of these upcoming roadworks on the Wairarapa Statehighways

SH53 FEATHERSTON – BRIDGE REPAIRS

UPDATE 12 MARCH – the bridge will now be closed on Wednesday 13 March instead of Thursday 14 March.

SH53 will be closed between the intersections of Camp Rd and No.1 Line for Tauherenikau Bridge repairs.
When: 7am-7pm Monday 11 March and Thursday 14 March.

Light vehicles please detour via Camp Rd and No.1 Line. Please note that Camp Road is not suitable for heavy vehicles and you must detour via SH2 and No.1 Line.

These works are dependent on various factors and could be postponed at short notice.

SH2 REMUTAKA HILL

SH2 Remutaka Hill will close for essential maintenance for ten nights in March.
When: Nightly from 9pm-4am. The closure begins at 9pm Sunday 10 March and runs every night until 4am Friday 22 March, excluding Friday and Saturday night.
