Public Consultation – Draft Local Approved Products Policy 2014

Public Notice is hereby given that pursuant to sections 66 to 69 of the Psychoactive Substances Act 2013 and Section 83 of the Local Government Act 2002 (LGA 2002) the South Wairarapa District Council has prepared a Statement of Proposal and draft Local Approved Products Policy for the purposes of formal consultation with the South Wairarapa community.

- Initial Report to Council – Contains background information about Psychoactive Substances Act 2013 and why the Council is considering a policy.
- Statement of Proposal – Outlines the draft Policy that the Council proposes, including processes.
- Draft Local Approved Products Policy – The draft document.

Submissions on the policy are welcome until 4.30 pm on Friday the 14th of March 2014. Download a submission form, or complete an online form. There are several ways to lodge your submission:

All submissions will be considered by Council when deciding whether or not to adopt (in whole or part) the draft Local Approved Products Policy. All submitters have the right to be heard in person in support of their submission at the Hearing of Submissions in April by Council. All submitters will be advised of the time and place of the Hearing once set.

Submissions will not be returned.
Under the Privacy Act 1993, submissions are available for viewing by the public.
The hearing and deliberation on these submissions will be open to the public.
