SH 2 RIMUTAKA HILL TEMPORARILY CLOSED TO VEHICULAR TRAFFIC

NZTA has advised that the Rimutaka Hill will be temporarily closed from 8.00pm Wednesday 29 January 2014 for road maintenance and is expected to re-open by 5.30am Thursday 30 January 2014.  The road will re-open at 20-30 minute intervals to allow traffic through. 

The Transport Agency urges road users to avoid travelling on the night of Wednesday 29 January 2014.

Alternative Route:

Head north on SH2, turn left onto SH 3 to Woodville, left onto SH 57 then SH 1 to Otaki.
