Message from Waka Kotahi and the Wellington Transport Alliance:

Roadworks will start in mid-March to resurface State Highway 53 Kitchener Street in Martinborough. The asphalt resurfacing will upgrade the condition of the highway from Memorial Square to Princess Street.

Wellington Transport Alliance (WTA) is undertaking the work on behalf of Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency.

The work will take place during five daytime shifts of 7am to 7pm, starting Monday 13 March and finishing on Friday 17 March. Please be aware that wet weather may force the postponement of work to a later date.
