Road closure for Sunday 19 January, 2025 will take place in Martinborough for the Toast Martinborough event from 10am-7pm.

About Toast Martinborough

Toast Martinborough, the iconic celebration of Martinborough’s world-class wines, is thrilled to announce its much-anticipated return on Sunday 19th January 2025. Toast welcomes up to 7,000 visitors to indulge on a journey across Martinborough’s picturesque festival sites. From vineyard to vineyard, festival-goers are given the opportunity to savour artfully crafted wines, delight in delicious food or discover something truly spectacular.

South Wairarapa District Council road closures are as follows:

1 Puruatanga Road, Martinborough to 89 Martins Road, Martinborough. Closed to all non-Toast Martinborough Traffic and public pedestrians from 10.00am – 7.00pm.

  • The road is closed to public pedestrian traffic and public vehicle traffic.
  • Event attendees will be allowed access – festival wristband or ticket must be shown.
  • Event contractors will be allowed access.
  • Resident traffic is allowed – proof of address must be shown.
  • Resident visitors are allowed – proof of invite must be shown.
  • Any vehicles entering the road closure will need to wait and to join the escorted access along the road. There is a strict 30km/p/hr speed limit.
  • There will be signage stating no alcohol is to be consumed on the closed road, this is an alcohol free zone. Anyone consuming alcohol will risk loosing access to the festival sites.
  • No parking is allowed on the closed road – unauthorised vehicles will be towed.
