Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy

Consultation is closed.

We’ve had a Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy in place since 2017 that allows shops in the district to trade on Easter Sunday if they wish. We are required by legislation to make a new policy to allow this to continue and welcome feedback from the community as part of the consultation process.

Consultation on the Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy closed at 4.00pm on 10 July 2023. We have received 24 submissions, which will be tabled with elected members for their consideration during the hearings and deliberations stage.

Council adopted the Local Easter Sunday Shop Trading Policy at their meeting on 27 September 2023.
