A few residents have informed us that they have been told by persons unknown that there is an E-coli issue with Martinborough’s drinking water.

South Wairarapa District Council wishes to firmly reassure all residents our drinking water is safe to drink and use. 

Wellington Water Limited who maintain and operate our drinking water systems have today advised the latest test results, taken only yesterday, confirms there is NO evidence of E-coli in the water in any of the three towns, Featherston, Greytown or Martinborough.  Our drinking water remains safe to drink and use.
