Turn unwanted electronics into a positive for the environment this October.
If you are tiring of holding onto old phones, laptops, monitors and cables just in case they might come in handy one day, here’s a chance to dispose of them, without sending them to landfill. Our Council is making it easy to recycle e-waste responsibly for free on Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October at all South Wairarapa transfer stations.

This is a great opportunity to declutter your home of unused items, keep valuable materials in circulation and reduce the amount of electronic waste sent to landfill.

Why recycle e-waste?
Electronic waste is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing waste streams. Many electronic items contain valuable materials that can be recovered and reused, along with components that require careful handling to protect the environment.
By recycling unwanted electronics, we can all help to reduce waste, save resources and support a more sustainable future for our communities.
