Upgrades to the Greytown Swimming Pool changing rooms will improve safety (non slip flooring tiles), hygiene (easier surfaces to clean) and versatility with showers.
This project, which is being completed by Inspire Living, is planned to be completed by the end of October, ahead of the upcoming summer season. All changing rooms will be significantly modernised as the current interior is dated and lacks some facilities, which have constrained the usability.
The improvements include a non slip tiled floor surface, which will allow for both improved safety and better cleaning of the surface; the addition of showers; improved external access controlled via key as well as relining and painting the interior of the changing rooms.
“This modern upgrade will carry the swimming pool facilities forward, providing versatility for use by other sports clubs as well as swimming clubs and the public who use the pools. We look forward to welcoming the community back to the pool at the end of November,” says James O’Connor, Manager Community Operations for South Wairarapa District Council.
