News: Water restored in Greytown

31 August, 2022

Update 4.45pm

We are pleased to report that supply from Memorial Park has been restored and the Wellington Water team working on it is slowly increasing the pressure back to normal service.  Note that this may take up to an hour to fully pressurise.

Teams on site will be flushing the network once the pressure has been fully restored and checking chlorine levels.

Once pressure is restored, we recommend you run a cold tap for 1-2 minutes to clear any air pockets or cloudy water from the pipes before using hot taps, dishwashers or washing machines.

Thank you for your patience and understanding if you’ve been impacted by this outage.
