At South Wairarapa District Councils Strategic Working Committee on 14 February 2024, retrospective approval was given for the December payment of $47k to Riskpool.

Last week, the media reported that all three Wairarapa Councils had been subject to a claim for an additional payment and that for the entire region, this totalled $156k. The coverage also included what amount each council was asked to pay.

The payment made by SWDC is only one part of that payment and relates to a portion of the total amount.
