Cape Palliser Road remains OPEN.

Further minor repairs will be completed this morning and the beach access road will be cleared later today or early tomorrow.

UPDATE: 22 March, 4.30pm

Cape Palliser Road is now OPEN.

A temporary traffic speed limit is in place and extreme caution is advised while driving on the damaged road. Our roading crew will inspect the road again early tomorrow and continue with repairs.

22 March, 8am

Cape Palliser Road is closing very soon as there has been some damage overnight. The contractors are still at the DoC Station as there is a large hole in the road they’re unable to get around to inspect for further damage.
