A number of road closures for Saturday 25 January will take place in Martinborough for the Cruise Martinborough event.

About Cruise Martinborough

Cruise Martinborough is a hot rod, classic and muscle car show event, showcasing vehicles from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s and prior. The event will begin at Wairarapa Tow and Salvage Yard in Daniel Street, Featherston and drive to Martinborough Square. The cars will park in the square for people to view. There is no postponement date for this event, if it needs to be cancelled or postponed.

South Wairarapa District Council road closures are as follows:

• Union Square in Martinborough is completely closed, including all intersecting roads to the Square, from 10am to 6pm. Event cars will arrive after the road closure and depart before the road opens again.
• State Highway 53 (Kitchener Street) has a partial road closure between Ohio Street and The Square. There is no entry past Ohio Street and the State Highway 53 intersection to The Square intersection. The exit is only between Ohio Street and The Square.
• Detours are from Kitchener Street when entering Martinborough. Turn right onto Ohio Street and turn left on to Naples Street or right onto Jellicoe Street, which leads out of Martinborough.
