Local detour signage will be set up to access Hastwell Street.

Although subject to change, the following are the current known closures:

  • SH2 intersection with Hastwell Street will be closed
WHERE: SH2 intersection with Hastwell Street
DATE: Monday 20 November until works are complete
    TIME: 24/7

Why is this work happening?

This is part of the wider programme of work to raise a number of pedestrian crossings in the Wairarapa. The design for the new raised platform crossings will be much safer for people to walk, cycle and drive. This is because they are brighter, bigger and bolder making them more visible. We’ll also be making some improvements to the footpath at the same time.
