Update on Martinborough town water network flushing – Day 5

7.50 pm 10 May 2019

Today’s scouring and flushing has gone quite smoothly, however, turning tobies off and on has been very time-consuming resulting in delays at the end of the day.

We were able to get Cologne St up and running ahead of schedule, and Cambridge and Oxford St had their water restored around 6 pm.  Many of the other streets in the Yellow Zone, had their water back by 7 pm, although Venice St, Dublin St, Malcolm St and Radium Place were unfortunately without water until closer to 8 pm.

It is unfortunate that we were unable to meet our schedule, however, the number of tobies turned out to be the greatest challenge of the day.

Please remember to run your taps until clear water comes through – preferably an external tap.  Don’t forget to boil your water before consuming.
