Greytown road closure 13, 25, 27 February & 3 March

Pole replacement, maintenance and line renewal work is being carried out in Greytown along North Street, Udy Street and Kuratawhiti Street (west of Udy Street intersection) during February and early March.

This work will be done by Downer and it begins on Thursday 13 February with completion estimated to be Monday 3 March. The number of days for the work to take place is estimated to be seven and the hope is to complete it in five days.

To enable the work to be completed as swiftly as possible, with a minimal number of power shutdowns, there will be trucks and crews on site during the days of work. To minimise the risk to road users and work teams, sections of the streets affected will be marked Residents Only when this work is taking place. Downer personnel will be on site to ensure access for residents, visitors and delivery/service people.

The Residents Only dates are:

  • North Street and Udy Street (between West Street and Kuratawhiti Street intersections) on Thursday 13, Thursday 20 and Wednesday 26 (if required) February between 9am and 4.30pm.
  • Kuratawhiti Street between Udy Street and Hawke Street intersection work will take place on Tuesday 18, Tuesday 25, Thursday 27 February and Monday 3 March (if required) between 9am and 4.30pm.
  • Emergency vehicles will have access at all times.
