Carterton and South Wairarapa district councils will be operating a “brown-out” in our CBD areas from 13 December 2021 to 5 January 2022.

This is a period when work by contractors is restricted, to provide businesses and consumers with an unobstructed and safe environment during the busy summer holiday period.

During this period, emergency works are able to occur but urgent works need special permission.

Brown out areas in Greytown:
* Main St (SH2), Wood St to Jellicoe St
* McMaster St, East St to Main St (SH2)
* Hastwell St

In Featherston:
* Fitzherbert St (SH2), Wakefield St to Fox St
* Daniell St, Revans St (SH53) to Fox St
* Revans St (SH53), Daniell St to Fitzherbert St
* Birdwood St, Fox St to Fitzherbert St (SH2)

And in Martinborough:
* Kitchener St (SH53), Broadway St to Memorial Square
* Memorial Square
* Jellicoe St, Venice St to Memorial Square
* Texas St, west and east
* Cambridge Rd, Strasbourge St to Memorial Square
* Naples St, Jellicoe St to Ohio St
