Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Most of us at Council are also taking a break but there will be the necessary cover to keep essential services going. If you need urgent assistance, please call our out of hours service on (06) 306 9611.

COUNCIL OFFICES MARTINBOROUGH

SOUTH WAIRARAPA LIBRARIES AND SERVICES CENTRES

Re-open 9:30am Monday 9 January 2023

The returns slots will be shut while libraries are closed so hold on to your items until they are open again.

No overdue charges will be applied.

SWIMMING POOLS

All pools are closed on Christmas Day.

Featherston and Greytown opening days and hours

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 1pm – 7:30pm
  • Tuesday and Thursday: 1pm – 5:30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11am – 7:30pm

Martinborough opening days and hours

  • Monday to Friday: 1pm – 7.30pm
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11am – 7:30pm

RUBBISH AND RECYCLING

All Recycling and Transfer Stations are closed Christmas and New Year’s days.

Collection days for Greytown, Martinborough and Featherston will be a day later:

  • Greytown will be collected Wednesday 28 December and 4 January
  • Martinborough will be collected Thursday 29 December and 5 January
  • Featherston will be collected Friday 30 December and 6 January

Coastal collection continues as normal on Mondays.

There will be extra coastal (Ngawi and Tora) collection on Fridays dates over the holiday period until 27 February.
