You will be an experienced Accountant who will have good understanding of the Public Sector environment and a demonstrated understanding of local government processes, decision-making and operating procedures. Every day is different; however, you will bring a fantastic attention to detail to the team and be expected to undertake tasks such as:
- Financial Accounting – month end/year end processes
- Analysis of Financial Information to identify opportunities, challenges or new initiatives.
- Budgeting/Rolling forecasts.
- Tax/Regulatory processes.
- Ad hoc financial project work
Furthermore, you will have the ability to identify and appropriately manage risk, quickly establish and build strong working relationships, including with senior managers, have flexibility to adapt within a fast moving environment and possess excellent communication skills.

LEAD ADVISOR – PEOPLE & CAPABILITY
As the sole charge subject matter expert, the Lead Advisor – People & Capability role reports into the Manager, Corporate Support. You will have a solid foundation in HR, with at least 3-5 years of experience in a generalist advisory role.
Whilst no two days are the same, expected duties will include:
- Providing operational HR support across Council
- Coordinate and deliver initiatives supporting people and business outcomes.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders as a trusted advisor.
- Support leadership capability development to drive high engagement and meet business objectives.
- Assist recruitment activities, compliance, and performance review processes.
- Contribute to people-related projects and initiatives to enhance the employee experience and drive business outcomes.
