Featherston’s public toilets will be closed from Monday 12 October until late December while we carry out a long-awaited refurbishment of the interior.

Public toilets are important community infrastructure, and these toilets are some of the most frequently used in South Wairarapa. These upgrades will improve the condition, safety, accessibility, and long-term reliability of the facility for everyone who uses it. 

During this time, four portaloos, including an accessible unit, will be located near the playground. The nearest alternative toilets are located in:

• Greytown (approximately 10 minutes’ drive from Featherston) 
• Martinborough (approximately 13-16 minutes’ drive from Featherston)  

We know this temporary closure may be inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience while this much-anticipated upgrade is completed.
