Peter Biggs was officially sworn in as a South Wairarapa District Council elected member for the Featherston General Ward on Thursday 8 October.

Mr Biggs was declared elected on Monday 5 October following the completion of the Council’s Featherston Ward by-election, which was held to fill one vacancy on Council following Councillor Colin Olds resignation this year.

Mayor Fran Wilde welcomed Mr Biggs to the Council table and acknowledged the community members who took part in the by-election process.

Mr Biggs joins Council as the elected representative for the Featherston Ward and will participate in Council decision-making and governance on behalf of the community.
