Roadworks are scheduled for Loasby Place in Greytown on Wednesday 9 September from 8am to 4pm for asphalting work. This is weather dependent.
Notes while work is taking place
- Please warn your children of the dangers posed by roadworks. Ensure they stand well back from the action and follow the directions of workers.
- Please keep pets indoors while work is in progress.
- Please make sure your vehicle is not parked on the street between 8am and 4pm while the work is taking place. If it is in the way of the contractor’s work, it may need to be towed. If the towing operator is not able to return your car to where it was found, they are required to leave it in the nearest available park. If your car is missing, please check the nearby streets prior to calling the contractor.
- Bitumen, concrete and other road repair materials require a bit of TLC after they are applied. Please treat all new surfaces with extra care for the two weeks following the completion of this project. Avoid excessive speed, sharp turns and heavy braking.
- All new roadwork is routinely monitored and, in some cases, workers may need to return to the site to do things like sweeping and repainting road markings. If this is the case, we will let you know.
In the event of bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances, the work will be postponed until the next suitable day.
Roadwork is a noisy, dirty business and we will do all we can to minimise the impact on your household and business.
Thank you for your patience while this work is taking place.
