The Long Term Plan, adopted on 30 June 2021, can be downloaded here.

The consultation period for the Long Term Plan has now closed. Hearings and deliberations took place in the week commencing 24 May and the Long Term Plan was adopted on 30 June.

The Long Term Plan is an important document as it sets our strategic direction for the next 10 years (2021-2031) and includes project priorities, budgets and rates forecasts. Our consultation document is available below and we look forward to receiving your feedback.

Public meetings

Public meetings were held in each of the three towns during the consultation period between 12 – 15 April to give members of the public an opportunity to ask questions before making a submission. The meeting held in Martinborough was also available by Zoom Call.

• Wednesday 7 April – LTP Consultation Document published in Wairarapa Midweek
• Monday 12 April – Public Meeting, Kiwi Hall, Featherston
• Wednesday 14 April – Public Meeting, WBS Room, Greytown
• Thursday 15 April – Public Meeting, Supper Room, Waihinga Centre Martinborough & Zoom Call
• Friday 30 April, 5pm – Submissions close
• Tuesday 25 May – Submission hearings and deliberations
• Wednesday 26 May – Submission hearings and deliberations
• Thursday 27 May – Deliberations (reserve day)
• Wednesday 30 June – LTP adopted by Council
