South Wairarapa Mayor Alex Beijen has confirmed that one or more positive cases of Covid-19 have been detected at Martinborough School. These will be reported in tomorrow’s national count. The school will be closed for a week plus and students will be distance learning during this time.

The Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Education are working with the school. We will provide more information when available.  Please also note that Café Medici was also a location of interest. The business has been deep cleaned and has since re-opened.

If you consider yourself a close contact, please self-isolate, test immediately and again on day 5 after you were exposed at either of these locations of interest. For further details please visit the Covid-19 website and follow the Ministry of Health guidelines.
