UPDATE: 16 April Martinborough boil water notice continues

The boil water notice for Martinborough is still in place while the council continues to investigate the cause of the low levels of E.coli detected in the township’s water supply on 9 April.

The results from the most recent lot of testing from Sunday has come back clear, however, as the source hasn’t been detected and is likely to be intermittent, the boil water notice is still in effect for your safety.

The council is continuing to work with water consultants, Regional Public Health and Wellington Water. We have also been systematically working through backflow prevention measures and have sent off more samples for testing.

Here’s the latest message from your Mayor, in case you missed it today. For full updates and all information, please visit https://swdc.govt.nz/Martinborough-town-water-situation
