South Wairarapa District Council is finally in a position to outline the nature of our resource consent application to the Wellington Regional Council for the treatment and disposition of treated wastewater.

Our application has taken some years to prepare, and it is only now our application is in a form we can prudently outline its content. We would like share this information with you at a meeting to be held in the Kiwi Hall, Bell Street, Featherston at 7pm on Monday 6 November.

The aim of the meeting is to provide background to South Wairarapa’ s wastewater strategy, outline the consent application, and future processes. We will also discuss the options considered, and why we chose those the options included in the application.

Once Greater Wellington Regional Council have notified the application, those who wish to can submit on the content of the application.
